There is plenty of parking in downtown Golden. Please be aware that much of the street parking
is 2 hour only. There are long term spaces in several of the parking lots, and there is also a

***HIGH ALTITUDE AWARENESS***
Altitude sickness can ruin your day! One of the best ways to avoid it is to drink lots of water!
Start drinking lots of water BEFORE you enter a high altitude zone.

Golden is at 5,675 feet of elevation above sea level.

Altitude sickness is not a problem for most people who visit Golden, but some people have been
known to get headaches when visiting high altitude areas. This can largely be avoided by
DRINKING LOTS OF WATER! There are many mild symptoms of Altitude Sickness that may be
experienced. Taking care of yourself with good nutrition and plenty of water while traveling is
the best plan!

Be aware that alcohol will affect you at high altitude more quickly than at lower altitudes.
We recommend tending to your hydration & nutritiona needs while visiting!
