MARRAKECH BELLY DANCE
On Friday night, Tribe Marrakech will be hosting a catered hafla at the Elk’s Lodge in Evergreen, CO. The Elk’s Lodge is located at 27972 Iris Dr in Evergreen, CO 80439.
6:00pm: The doors will open
6:30pm: The catered meal will be served.
7:00pm: Performances begin!
7:00 - 11:30pm: enjoy an evening of performances, live music, and open dancing!
Cost: $10. This includes the food as well as the entrance fee. Performers will only have to pay $5.
The Meal & Drinks: The fabulous food will be supplied by Ali Baba’s of Golden, CO. It will be vegetarian and will consist of Salad, Rice, Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Falafel, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Spinach and Cheese Pastries and Pita bread. The cash bar will be open for business.
The Performances: We welcome any performers who would like to perform. Soloists will receive 4 minutes, Duos and Trios 6 minutes, and Troupes of 4 or more people will receive 8 minutes.
The list will be 1st come 1st serve. We do require that every performer, including all members of a troupe, take at least 1 class sometime during the weekend if they want to perform in the hafla. You must be signed up for a class before the hafla starts.
Notice in the sign up info here online that there is only an option to pay $10 for the hafla. When you receive performance confirmation, you will receive a promotional code to receive a $5 discount for the hafla or for the full weekend package through paypal.
NOTE: There is only room for 100 people at the hafla, so please sign up for it as soon as you can. Tickets will not be available for the hafla on the day of the event or at the door.

**If you are registered for a workshop on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you will go to Marrakech at 28045 Hwy 74, Evergreen, CO to check in. Please plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to the class start time. There are many dancers to check in. Upon check in, you will be directed a short drive away from Marrakech to the Evergreen Elks Lodge for the classes.

Tickets: $15 in advance through Marrakech, or at the door on Saturday night for $20. If you have purchased tickets, they will be available at “will call” at the door of the Buffalo Rose at 6:30pm.
All ages are welcome at the Buffalo Rose until 9:00pm.

The dance performances will be followed by live music and dj music, so be ready to take the dance floor with your friends! This show is not open for additional performers. If you are interested in performing, please consider performing at the Friday Dinner Hafla.
Parking: There is plenty of parking on the nearby streets in Downtown Golden, and also a parking garage

This is the closest hotel to downtown Evergreen. It is approximately 8 miles from Marrakech and the workshop space.

The amenities are excellent with an outdoor hot tub, an indoor Jacuzzi (both for your weary, bell danced out bodies!), an indoor pool, a fitness center, a free Deluxe Continental Breakfast including all sorts of good things to eat and a cappuccino machine, fresh baked cookies every evening, and more.
All of the rooms include a pull-out sofa bed, so you can stuff as many dancers into one room as you like at no extra charge, Kitchenettes, Safe, Hair Dryer, Microwave, Ironing board, Coffee maker, etc.
If you would like to be pool side, have a balcony, or be outdoor-hot tub-side, there will be an extra $10 charge.

***LOCAL TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS***
Altitude sickness can ruin your day! One of the best ways to avoid it is to drink lots of water! Start drinking lots of water BEFORE you enter a high altitude zone.
Evergreen is at 7,500 feet of elevation above sea level.
Altitude sickness is not a problem for most people who visit Evergreen, but some people have been known to get bad headaches. This can largely be avoided by DRINKING LOTS OF WATER!
Be aware that alcohol will affect you at high altitude more quickly than at lower altitudes.
We recommend tending to your hydration & nutritional needs while visiting!

This year, we will be charging $75 per table, maximum 2 tables, and $50 for a rack. We will be able to provide the tables this year at no extra charge. Vending will go from Friday morning through Sunday evening at the Elk’s Lodge, including the Friday night hafla.
